One of the first Residence Inns, I'm told. It's set up like an apartment complex with separate sections of rooms. If you like staying in an apartment-style hotel, then this is the place for you. Also, if you don't like walking outside to the gym on a cold morning, try to get a room in the gym's unit. That gym is quite small. It will be packed when there is more than one person. My room, on the other hand, was very spacious and stocked with everything for a long stay. It was clean and well maintained, but it's almost time for an upgrade. Some of my microwave's buttons didn't work, and I forgot to bring it up at checkout. If you get 1221, ask them about the buttons. The hot breakfast was okay. The scrambled eggs, though real, were dry and overcooked both mornings of my stay. There are many breakfast places in the vicinity if you're tired of the free stuff.

Nice location. Room Outlets did not work, the shower handle broke and was never repaired - communicated to the front desk. Missing the ice bin and no hair dryer in either of our two bedrooms. A spare pillow in closet was wet and never replaced. Only participated in breakfast once, but everything was empty and we had to wait to refill. Not the experience we except with Marriott properties.

Rooms are adequate but thats all. Location is terrible. Didnt have any hookers trolling parking lot or street out front. Ice machine did not work properly late night staff would not give me an extra pillow and was generally a boring not worth repeating experience. Yeah that about covers it

Room smelled like kitty litter. Could hear people walking around upstairs with wood creaking, thankfully at reasonable hours. I asked for a quiet room and I guess that means an upstairs room.

My disappointment stems primarily from the mismanagement of essential services, notably the morning breakfast and the lack of functional amenities in the room. It was disheartening to witness the breakfast supplies running out as early as 7:30 AM PST without any prompt resolution from the management. The proposed alternative of breakfast availability after 9:30 AM PST was incongruent with the needs of guests who typically begin their workday by that time. This situation left guests like myself without a crucial meal to start the day. Furthermore, the malfunctioning microwave in the room added to the inconvenience. Despite multiple attempts to reach out to the front desk through service calls, regrettably, none of these attempts were answered. This lack of responsiveness compounded the frustration of an already subpar experience.

Place is clean and well run. We had some unique needs that Jennifer and Desiree accommodated, much to our delight. Breakfast was also solid. Good value

I have been coming to this Marriott for years as my extended family lives in the Bay area and I break up the drive since I live in Oceanside. The staff is amazing - always feel like this is a second home when traveling.
